C.Leg

A painter, visual artist and holder of a master's degree in clinical and social psychology, c.leg lives and works in Normandy (France). After a long period of informal, magmatic painting (as A. Erhenzweig called it), c.leg decided, while working in the field of mental health, to pursue his artistic work in an essentially figurative and pictorial approach, searching for that which, within us, shuns the light and escapes mimesis.

This work, which the expressionists carried out so well at the beginning of the 20th century by stripping away reality, is continued by c.leg in his own way, against the tide of history, using photography, which he deconstructs, duplicates, fragments and superimposes until a new, ambiguous and sensitive figure emerges, which ultimately becomes incarnate in a pictorial work. In this process, he takes us on a journey from the visible to the sensitive, questioning both our inner selves and our clinical and aesthetic societies.
